Right, I was running Ubuntu Server 9.04 with a working install of webmin and a few other things.
I setup a module under Webmin so that i could check temps and fan speeds when i needed to.

However since i upgraded to 9.1 sensors no longer works.

I have tried sensors-detect and said yes to all of them, the entries are added to the file at the end, reboot, and try to run 'sensors' again but still get the message 'No sensors found!'.

Any ideas?

I tried acpi_enforce_resources=lax on 2.6.31-14 kernel and sensors works correctly.

Do you think its advisable to use this or not?

Normally i don't see the box boot up as i use putty. But it turns out without that switch I get several ACPI conflicts for smsc47m1 which I think is what lm-sensors uses.

Hmm interesting...

The 'Old way' always reported correct voltages and temps anyway compared to the bios.

Well ill try it for a few days and see if i get any problems with it. Thanks for the assist :)
