In the big boys league of WEC, Nissan never did anything special outside of building a car that understeered like a b'stard, had masses of power but was never able to win anything in Group C at the world championship level. Sure they did OK in IMSA and in Japan, but frankly when it came to the top of the tree they were found wanting. A friend of mine raced for them in 1988 at Le Mans, great to here his stories of immense power and circa 235mph down the Mulsane.
