Is it indicative of a problem if the load temps being read by Coretemp aren't that different to the idle temps?
Previously, as mentioned in another thread, my core temps at idle were over 60C but I reseated the HSF (Scythe Ninja, wasn't on properly), changed the fan orientation and used AS5. Idle temps are now around 39C in a fairly warm room. Under Orthos load or after playing CSS for an hour or so the temps only rise to about 47C on both cores.
Is this normal, shouldn't it be a greater increase?
Motherboard is an Asus P5N-E SLI.
