Load temps of stock i7 7700k

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 7700k, but I've noticed the temps seem pretty crazy even at stock clocks on a decent air cooler.

Some reviews showing 60-70, others showing it hit 100+. I know de-lididng yields big results but it's not something I'm interested in doing.

So many conflicting reviews, any owners got some input on the temps @ stock clocks with air/water.

Same situation as with your 3770k. It's needs delidding to get really good temperatures.

Think I got one of the later chips in the production cycle, I get about 70 under prime, 55-60 gaming. That's with a hyper evo 212 nothing fancy at all @ 4.4GHz
