Local Area Connection icon

Hi,
Since I installed my nF4 drivers, a little local area connection icon has appeared, and I cant get rid of it. I have unchecked the box saying 'notyfiy me when this connection has limited/no connectivity', but it remains. Any ideas?

It might be in a utility you installed when you installed the new drivers?!

Is it not picking up another NIC you have installed?

May seem silly but have you unchecked "Show icon in notification area when connnected" ?

if its showing when the device is not connected then I the only way I ever found to hide it was to disable it in device manager or the bios

though I don't recall seeing "notyfiy me when this connection has limited/no connectivity" so maybe that is new to SP2 or something - or it didn't work when I tried it

cheers guys, comes after I install nforce 4 drivers, I think theres an ethernet driver there, Ill disable it.

i had the same problem, just disable it in device manager and it will go away
