The whole family have lost everything and I feel like trying to do something for them.

I live directly across the street, horrifying views this morning. A few locals have gone door to door but it seems quite an old school technique when we have the powers of the internet now.

Why on earth would you buy a house and not insure it?

I've had to deal with a couple of reinstatement jobs paid by the insurance company as well as alternative living costs to cover where the family stayed during the works.

The house is only rented, but living in the house was a single mother with four children so that's an expensive job putting clothes back on them in itself.
