Went to shoot a local football match this afternoon. This is my first go at shooting football. Its a lot harder work than i thought it would be. I found the bets way in the end was to think about where the ball/action was going and then be pointing that way ready and 9 out of 10 times this seemed to work ok.

Anyway here are a few shots for critique.

i meant to add to that first post i had the camera in Tv mode and set to 1/1000 although i have just noticed photoshop hasnt taken away the exif details on these shots :o

I really like the third one, and I don't even like football!

I think you made the right choice by forcing such a fast shutter speed. Yes, these are underexposed, but it freezes the action nicely :)

I thought 1/500 would freeze pretty much anything? Personally never shoot Sports though...it's just what I've heard
