The winds are starting to pick up again here. I enjoyed being stranded in sheffield today as no trains went out myway after 5 because some inconsiderate so and so's roof went onto the tracks :D. TBH I'd rather find a different way of getting home than replace a roof though.

I drove like 60 miles in it today along the a1, and the amount of overturned lorrys was just scary, i tried to take pictures of some of them but policeman kept looking really angry at me lol

lol today was fun, the roof on the side of my accomodation fell in, 2 trees fell down and a door smashed because of the wind :)
 
I love the wind. Almost 200Kts in the upper levels. Aircraft inbound from the west were doing groundspeeds of 600Kts and upwards which is just plain crazy. Nice if you were travelling from the USA to London today, probably shaved an hour or two off your flight time :D
 
Yesterday one of the structural supports for the roof broke of the New Building at school and one of the Chimneys went straight past the classrooms.

The whole of school is off apart from us, who are doing english exams in sports hall...Yippee...:(

Also seen the river as high as ever and saw a tv ariel come down right next to where we were playing cricket.

Yes... we played cricket during study leave with really quite strong winds. :)
 
Plymouth's missing all this! We have had a little bit of wind and some spitting rain, seems we got missed again. :p
