Hi guys,
Looking for a bit of advice around RAM. Looking to get another 16GB of RAM. Current Motherboard supports 32GB and the system was purchased as an OcUK system DC Build. The RAM that came with the system is the below
Kingston 16GB (2x8GB)
It would seem OcUK dont do the particular RAM anymore so leaves me in a situation of
1. Locate RAM somewhere else (not something I want to do)
2. Identify RAM that would work well in conjunction to the above RAM
3. Replace RAM completely and just get 32GB of RAM (not exactly a prefered choice either)

So on option 2. What is there that I can get that would suit my build. I dont want to degrade the performance of my current system not do I want to go off and buy "super" RAM and have it hindered by my original 16GB of RAM that I currently have. Am I just looking for another PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Kit with the same timings or is there more to it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Same speed and timings. This will be fine. Out of stock at the moment so might want to find out when they're getting it back in.

Is there a reason you want to go from 16gb to 32? If it's for gaming, you won't notice any performance gain

Hi liamd89,
Thanks for the reply. Ill have a look and contact OC. While the system is mainly used for gaming and one reason for the upgrade it is mainly due to running VM. I run VM environments for networking equipment and its handy to have multiple instances of these running.
