Hi,

I am reinstalling a fresh copy of xp on my sisters old inspiron 2200 laptop to give it a new lease of life.

all going well so far but I cant find the drivers for wireless! so cant get it on the net to update windows and everything else

On the dell website it lists 3 network drivers for inspiron 2200, installed them (from a usb stick) now the LAN adapter is recognised but still no wireless.

This wouldn't be too much of a problem if the LAN worked but when I plug the ethernet in it aquires ip address for ages then has limited or no connectivity! so doesn't work basically.

where do you guys go for old drivers you need?

the adapter is a broadcom 4318 as found from the device id

thanks !

Unfortunately that hasn't worked!

they don't come up as drivers if I search for inspiron 2200, will search the dell site to see if I can find them

not sure what setting was screwing that up but hey

thanks again
