As the title - Does anyone use these and do they work - I have two pair of work shoes I can't wear due to my stupid fingers not doing what I ask them to do. Tie laces.

My son uses them - he's very tall and big-footed for his age, so grew out of vecro trainers before he could tie laces. They're pretty effective

Tried them and binned them.

If you need your heel not to lift they are useless. I ended up with many a blister because they allow too much movement.

nice one......laces with knots in them for just shy of a tenner......marketing worked a treat for this product. joking aside, do they not suffer the same problem as post #3 - surely they'll allow too much slip/movement. if you pull them tight do they not pop back out when under 'pressure'

No because they have knots in them. :)

but surely under enough pressure the knots will pop back out? if not (knot? :p) then they must take a massive amount of force to pull thorough in the first place? i'm genuinely curious btw as i might invest in a pair if you can convince me they wont go the way of locklaces and be too loose ;)

They honestly don't move an inch. I had them too tight initially and had to slacken them off.

It does take a bit of force to lace them but once sorted you are set. Just checked and I bought Feb last year and haven't had to tighten them once.

Recommended!

hmmmm ok, i may well invest said tenner on a set of laces with knots in......or buy a normal set of laces and knot them myself :p

Sorted I hope.

I have a bag of those press button things so threaded laces through them -tightened them up and bingo - Unlike those lock laces I am using the original laces so no stretch. Just walking round the house they seem fine so got two heat shrinks for car electric wire - slid them up spare lace then hit them with small blow torch - cut off slack and here's hoping.
Can wear my £9.99 work shoes now.

What? How old are you? And you can't tie your own laces, yet you're allowed to have your own blowtorch?

I mean... You are an adult and you can't tie your own laces? What's wrong with you?

IIRC dxp is one of our more senior members. I would guess the issue is more age related than down to competence

Physics research has proven that laces are evil and want to come undone. I am not sure if this is relevant but I'm up for laces that stay tied as well as not shifting in the eyelets!

Yea its a good fix, I just run around with laces undone half the time at least if Im in a hurry and getting in a car or coming back inside anyway it doesnt exactly matter. I'm sure I've seen a few fancy systems and automatic lacing shoes even but pretty expensive and Im similar in just using very cheap boots that get slashed or ripped at some point.

Don't be a ****.

Could be any number of reasons why he can't tie laces. I broke my thumb and two fingers a few years back and some mornings I can't tie mine. Laces require a lot of dexterity which some injuries or conditions reduce.
