Looking for anyone with a similar experience or pointers. System as follows:

RIVE
8x4 gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 1.55v
I7 4820k 43 multi 1.3v
Asus Matrix 780ti
Corsair AX860i
840 evo 250gb
Samsung 4tb
2 x Corsair LS 120
H100i

Symptoms
Only in games, picture will freeze, sound continues for ~5 seconds then nothing. Frquency - seemingly random, sometimes after no more than 5 mins, sometimes after several hours. Mainly in BF4, but had it in DAI also. Played the Crew, Skyrim (modded) AC, FC4 and others for hours with no problem.

CPU temps never more than ~50c, GPU maybe 75c.

Latest nvidia drivers (that GF experience sees)

Nothing in the event log

Logging from HWinfo (irrc) and some excel work showed Dram V down to 1.46 hence fixing it at 1.55, but nothing else suspicious there.

I even tweaked and burnt a very cautious fan profile on the gpu in case it was heat.

Conjecture - 8 sticks of ram maybe?
GPU driver? (i would expect others to have seen the same - system is nothing exotic or rare)
PICNIC even??

Memtest and windows mem test show no errors. HDs all report perfect health. Tried a different PCIE slot for the ti. Asus bench no problem, 3dmarks no problem. However that Monster 3d bench freezes every run, and reports an error with nv3d.dll or whatever which is obv. either the graphics driver or physx (if thats even separate). Heaven and valley run faultlessly!

Appreciate i should start running with just 2 sticks, but thats something for the weekend (and maybe an excuse for 4x8 2400!). Dont expect much from this but any counselling/support or better still experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I have an overclocked amd setup with an R290 in the same case/cooling and its faultless.

1.5, but bios and monitors report up to 0.03 difference from the selected. It happens when on auto or fixed to 1.5 also. Thanks for replying

edit - that 0.03 lower, and "it happens" means the lock ups

Wood/trees ratio observation malfunction on my part there. Thankyou for grounding me stulid! So now run several tests and even the monster benchmark completes.

I reset cpu to auto everything, dram to xmp/auto.

Happy with that, but still curious as to cores, mem controller or ram issue.

Anyway knowing my luck it could just be a lucky night. Will keep you updated.

Thanks again
