As my pc is currently at my family home as I'm moving out, I need internet :p. I set a password on my bios and my OS to stop my brother from messing around with it if I head out!.

Logged into the bios to check fan speeds and it wanted my password, so i entered it and I was straight in. But i'm completely logged out of editing ANY settings not just that it says " Case Open "

Wtf?

I guess the middle ground is [after clearing cmos ofc] after re-entering all your settings save them to BIOS with F11 as well as CMOS with F10.

Even tho that means you always have to reset the cmos and press F12 every time you want to tinker with your current saved settings, the silver lining is your bro can never go and change anything in there which could cause unknown chaos, without opening the case :)

Back in, thanks for the Clearing Cmos tip had a bit of a worry when the system kept on rebooting at the boot up logo screen. Got into bios and loaded my previous bios overclocked which I had written down. Then used F11 to save a bios profile.

Word of the wise, never use a bios password on this board or it will lock you out

p.s Had a really **** day lots of arguments and this happening just as I was going to bed, takes the ****
