I know this is possible, i'm just wandering how it's done? i can remember reading somehwhere a while back where you can use a logitech mx518 and lock the dpi at 1600 so that you don't need to change it when windows starts everytime?

*note i don't want to install setpoint if i can get away with it as i travel to a lot of big computer gaming tournaments and would prefer to just plug and go!

Doesn't the 518 have sensitivity buttons on it?

Unless they only work when setpoint is running, just press that

no they do work, but the problem is when windows boots it defaults to 800dpi and i then have to adjust it to 1600dpi, i want windows to default to 1600dpi all the time, without having setpoint installed!
