Ever since i updated to 64bit i'm having a little problem with my comp locking with a loopin sound,it only happens when playing LOTRO (so far) and i have to reset my comp.
I have the latest drivers installed, any idea's what could be the problem?
it's getting a bit annoying now:rolleyes:

tried running just one 8800 and removing sli ?

is the 4 gb memory 2x2gb or 4x1gb, tried just 1 stick ?

all obvious stuff i know, might be worth listing what you have tried.

Iv'e not removed a card as its never caused a prob before,i have 4x1gig sticks installed, just trying an older sound driver now see if that makes a difference.

if you're running 4x1gb have you upped the northbridge voltage by 0.1.

daft question but did you load the 64bit drivers ?

There is an outstanding Vista+X-FI issues (nothing to do with 4GB of Memory).

I used to get it daily now its 1x per week if I'm unlucky.

Happens for me with anything to do with sound, game/music/movie.
