I played the Downloadable demo version and i think it aint my cup of tea. Anyone played it yet as most of my friends like it and it seems to have a good write up on the bbc. Some have even claimed it is the best-game so far on the psp...

Many will be those quick to hail Sony's latest effort, LocoRoco, as a work of original genius.

But lurking underneath LocoRoco's pretty façade is a cocktail of Yoshi, Katamari, Vib Ribbon, Kirby and Marble Madness. It is also the best PlayStation Portable (PSP) game to date.

I played it and I think its the best game on the PSP. I didnt see what everybody saw in Lumines and got bored really quick but ive played this demo level in locoroco over about 4 times now and still havent found all the stuff. Its more fun than any other PSP game and maybe now Sony have realised what sells-FUN and gameplay, not graphics.

The game is ok at first glance but i dont feel like im in-control other than tilting the screen via the shoulder buttons/jumping and breaking up...I also find te music annoying.

Im gonna give it another blast, this time trying to see what the fuss is about as it appears im missing something about the game.
 
the graphics are my favourite part.

im tempted to buy a PSP and this game just so i can stare at the pretty colours. what do you actually have to do anyway?

Guide a blob through various cracks and croonies by tilting the screen via the shoulder buttons. You also have to avoid baddies etc. You can jump and split the blob into smaller blobs, you collect stuff etc.
 
can't believe i didnt think to google it. what a n00b. for anyone else who's interested, there's a link here . you'll need version 2.7 though.
 
yeah, thanks ElRazur...you just cost me nearly £200. i was going to lower my car, but now i have to buy a PSP and LocoRoco - i hope you're happy with yourself :(

also, someone must be able to help...im stuck on the bit where there's a see-saw-type-thinger that spins around and has a black spikey thing on one side...i've gotten all the fruit in that area, but i can't get any further...think Arsey will probably know what i've got to do...

Im glad you spend 200 on getting a psp :o but i still dont know why you like that game, can you give it a mini review please. (the car can always wait!!) :D

I just got home now from work, im gonna give the demo a blast later and see how i got past that bit.
 
think the locoroco demo is fantastic

ive kept playing through it until i have finished it 100% :)

will probably but the game soon not just yet though because ive just bought a few games :)

i take that back, i was expecting to pay 200 - just got one for £112 with Burnout Legends :D (white one too, so it goes with my DS Lite :))

erm, well...i like the demo because it appears to be a sensory experience. it actually made me laugh, some of the stuff that was going on...and the artwork is amazing. i like the mavity manipulation, and the music - you'd expect it to drive you insane, but it's actually so catchy! and you feel totally sorry for the little guy when one of those little gits eats a bit of him!!

That's a bargain. The white looks cool as well.

As per the game, i hate to admit it but im starting to like it hopefully it wont be a waste of money.
