Loft room decorating

Recently moved and now have a loft room to decorate but some debate here as to whether the sloping roof should be classed as ceiling or wall? Just thought I'd throw it open to a straw poll.

Paint the entire room the same colour and be done with it.

Is the sloping ceiling curved down to the wall or does it meet the wall at an angle?

Our master bedroom is a dormer-style on one side and has a roof that slopes down almost to the floor. We're painting it as follows (pic's a bit random but whatever ):

There'll be a wardrobe there in about two weeks, but it's the same on the other side.

Done a house like that last week Participant and indeed thats how we painted it. However were doing another today by the same builder. In it, the windows are skylights and the ceiling curves down to the wall in some rooms. The client wants the ceiling white to just below the curve, hence the need for some very neat cutting in with the wall colour.

True, but tbh as the ceiling had only been finished the day before, i was wary of it peeling the paint off when removed. Just put a faint pencil line on and done it free hand, having a really good quality angled bristle brush helps immensely with this.

If you only have velux windows you might want to consider this paint, we are using it at work and it seems to work quite well.

Thanks for all the replies, here's a few pics, please excuse the mess, it's a bit chaotic around here at the moment. There's a slight curve at the top and bottom of the sloping sides.

So far the en-suite has had all the previous fittings like towel rails removed, new holes for new fittings done and undercoated to disguise filled areas, minor blemishes and cracks.

Airing cupboard, earmarked for networking project as it isn't really an airing cupboard as it doesn't have a hot water tank. Next to it is the boxed in soil pipe and my hope of passing Ethernet cable to and from the ground floor via a brush plate into the loft.

Also missing light bulbs and filler waiting to be sanded. Don't like the bulbs on this level as they are CFL type GU10's and they take too long to warm up, hoping to change all the down lights to the same bulb as hallways and kitchen have LED GU10's but can't find a supplier for LOXA bulbs at the moment.

Plama screen to go on wall behind PC monitor , got to mount bracket on some battening though to clear plugs.

Originally thought this but it gets rather complicated around the Velux type windows. Am just wondering about also doing the sloping sides as the wall colour as I think that will create the illusion of the ceiling being higher.
