Logging in to BF2142

Ok,

So I'm trying to login to BF2142 with my old BF2 account, which logic tells me should work...WRONG! Apparrently I have to create a new ea.com account to be able to play, fine, not letting me do that either. Try to register on the ea.com website and I have to either let EA bombard me with their propaganda or send all my details to 3rd parties!

WTF! All I wanna do is play the sodding game!

Is there any way to play this game without subjecting yourself to loads of ads!?!

In a word, no. If you hadn't been living under a rock on Mars with your fingers in your ears though*, you would have joined a great many of us in boycotting this product.

I moved back to my house on earth and took it back to the shop
