Hi,

We've just got new laptops in for a hardware refresh, they all have i5s and SSD drives but I'm finding that they startup too fast!

If you switch it on and login as soon as prompted all the GPOs, roaming profile and mapped drives are disconnected. This means the user doesn't get the correct profile and my attempts to deploy software over GPO at startup are failing as the network is unavailable.

I've tried "always wait for the network at startup and logon" but it made no difference.

I'm running Windows 7 SP1 on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 domain.

Anyone suffered with this before?

Thanks

lol, I did think about installing some slow software. We use MS Forefront Protection though so no such problems with that.

Seems I've found the problem, it seems when they connect at 1Gbps the initialisation time takes a lot longer. Even forcing to 1Gbps causes the issue, set the speed to 100mbps and it works fine.
