Erm, at a computer.
I need to synchronize my work folder between my PC and my dads Laptop for both a backup ands so he can access the files while in the office.

I like the look of FreeFileSync which i have installed however when choosing the destination folder on the Laptop, i go to: Browse ->> Network ->> The laptop and am asked for login details, i enter the username and leave password as he has no password and get a message saying:

The laptop is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource blah blah.

Anybody know hot to rectify?

Thanks

Blank passwords are limited to local logon only.

Either change the relevant group policy (not recommended) or set a password.

Or if you want to leave your dad's account as is with no password create a new account on his laptop with a password and set the appropriate permissions. Then you can use those credentials to connect.

Then you can always set the laptop to still autologon with your dad's account.
