Had to do a group studio assignment on thursday for Uni which involved recording an artist, that we didn't know, for the whole day (never done a whole day before, only 2 hour sessions) It was awesome, had a load of fun and was a great experience. We achieved some good results!
We were told that we would all get a copy of the masters and we would have to finish the mix down and mastering phase of things at home or in the studio. This got me thinking about what software i would use.
When we had finished for the day i was checking the apple site on campus and thought, hell, why not check Logic Studio with Higher Education discount. So glad i did! Normal price is £320 but with HE discount it comes in at an amazing £118. Bargain! Snapped that up right there and then.
So when i get these masters i'm going to be having some fun! Just have to make my mind up and order some Yamaha HS80m's.
Can't wait.
