I have begun to get fairly frequent (a couple per day) intermittent freezes on my Logitec MX518 gaming mouse.

It happens in games and Windows7.

Lasts a couple of seconds when cursor either freezes or loses one plane of movement (x or y axis). Clears itself with no issue, and with no action from me.

I have removed and re-installed the mouse drivers, and software to no effect.

Ideas?

Cheers
Peter:)

Mine died recently as well. Its given about 7 years of service I think. I think thats a decent life time for a mouse which cost less than £20.00.

I found when my mx518's scroll wheel went and it would scroll like crazy, smashing it hard against the desk temporarily helped.

Thanks for the replies. :)

It doesn't sound good. :(

I reckon it might be some sort of conflict tho. I'll have a dig through my loaded USB device drivers and see if i can remove potential conflicts...

I have raised a query with Logitech support.

Fingers crossed their legendary support comes up trumps.
