I just thought I'd inform you people about Logitech Customer Support.

I've recently started having some issues with my MX518 where the scroll wheel doesn't respond properly, so I contacted Logitech regarding this issue, and they promptly replied to my e-mail with some things that I could try to see if I could remedy the problem, but I'd already done what they suggested, so I sent another message saying that the problems were still present, and about 30 minutes later I had another e-mail from them asking me for my delivery address and phone number so that they could send me out the G500 as a replacement!!! :D

Why cant all hardware manufacturers be like Logitech??

I'm well chuffed about this!

Same here, they replaced my borked G5 with a G500. Just had to give them the part no and serial number. Didnt even ask me to destroy the old mouse and provide pics of this. Something ive heard them ask for in the past, part of the fun is finding novel ways to destroy the old product, i was geting the shotgun ready just in case.:D

Nah I assume they will want me to send them this one back.

::edit::

You have shotguns setter?

Yep, used to have several. In the past i done a bit of competitive clay pigeon shooting.

Logitech are number 1 for customer support on their aftercare.

This is why OcUK backs them as a premium partner.

I'll definitely be buying more logitech peripherals in the very near future now, I've been eyeing up a set of G35's actually :D

Voice morph?

What does that do exactly?

I've wanted to get a set for a while now, how would you rate the sound quality of them?

Do you play CS:S?

Does the 7.1 sound allow you to hear exactly where your enemies are coming from?

I just use a crappy set of Technics headphones atm, which are no use for CS:S.

Am I right in saying they don't use the soundcard on the PC?

@setter, how long did it take for them to send you your replacement?

And how are you finding the G500?

The card wont be with me till next week, getting by on an 8800gt at the minute. As for the G500, its fantastic, handles just like the G5 did, far more buttons which are very well positioned.

voice morph changes the sound of your voice so you can sound like an alien or a stalker etc lol

the directional sound works well on them. great for games, not the best headset for music tho.

Dont play cs:s but they are great on COD modern warfare 2

and no they dont use a soundcard, just install the software and plug them in via usb, away you go :)

the mic quality is great, clear and precise.

Lots of people will tell you not to bother with these and get a decent sound card and stereo headset, but for me these are ideal and cheaper than the soundcard/headset combo.

I have always found OCZ to be extra efficient in the same way you have with Logitech. They replaced my Vertex Turbo 120gb SSD within a few days and were very good to call and check everything was ok a few days after that...

However years ago (at the start of firewire devices) Lacie had insane CS.

I wanted to know if their external dvd recorder (x2!) worked on any firewire port (I had a Creative soundcard with firewire port on the back). They called me at home on a Sunday afternoon stating they didn't know but if i gave them my address they would send me one to try!!

They did 4 days later and then told me i could keep it...now that's service!

Thanks macca, I'm definitely gonna get myself a set of these now, they sound exactly like what I'm after.

@setter, it was the G500 I was asking how long it took to get sent out to you.

Really good to hear you're getting sorted with a 275 for your borked 280 though mate, I doubt you'll notice any difference in performance between the 2.

Oops sorry mate, took about 5 days. Regarding the 275, read a host of reviews on it, not much difference really from a 280, bit down on memory but ill hardly notice that tbh. Possibility of sli is back on too.

No probs, you game at 1920x1200 right?

I doubt you will notice any difference with having less vRAM.

I've still not had the chance to try my 280's in SLi yet as I'm waiting on this PSU to get tested, god knows when I'll get the chance neither.

I was actually thinking about selling them on tbh so I could get a 5870 instead, but I don't know if I will or not, I'll probably just end up keeping them until the new nVidia cards come out before I sell them on.
