Hi,

I was just about to buy the G15 V1, however had a few questions.

One is regarding the G keys. Could I bind say g1 as a buy key in CS:S? For instance b,1,2,b,6,3 etc etc? Heard that I may not be able to do this? I don't understand why though?

Also how is the wrist rest on this keyboard. I heard it wasn't very comfortable?

Thanks,

Simon

Personally I love the G15 to bits, I find the wrist rest to be comfortable, as for the G keys though not sure TBH can never really be bothered to set up the macros. Make sure you have a big desk mind this keyboards huge!

yes you can, i downloaded a set up a guy made so that all the m1 buttons were for buying T weapons and m2 for CT weapons. it's a lot more complicated than just pressing the buttons in that order i think

To make a buy key in source you just put it in your config.

e.g.

bind mouse3 "buy ak47; buy vesthelm; buy hegrenade; buy flashbang"
bind F4 "buy hegrenade; buy flashbang; buy smokegrenade; buy flashbang"

you can also add the say command although personally I find those very annoying.
e.g.
bind F4 "buy hegrenade; buy flashbang; buy smokegrenade; buy flashbang; say_team Equipment Bought"

All the weapons / equipment has a name like above that you need to use or it will not work. It's not a case of bind a key on a mouse to make it run through b,1,2 b,3,4 etc..

Oh right. I heard that CS didn't recognize the G keys in game so thought it might not be that simple, although you would think it would be. Can you tell me where you downloaded the set up? I just want to make sure it can be done before I order.

Thanks.

The "G" keys are pretty much entirely independant of whatever you use them in. You record macros by pushing the keys and it gets repalyed like you were actually pushing them again.

Never ran into any issues like this myself personally with mine.

Couple of ways you can do it.

You can bind the G key to a series of letters one after the other as if you were really pressing them. Or you can bind it to a single keypress such as shift+6 and it would do whatever the keypress was for shift+6. I have 6 Teamspeak keys bound this way.
