Hi guys,
Right i received my Logitech G19 today,
Initial impressions are very good, feels well made. Solid with no flex in the keyboard when typing. Im happy to say the keys, to me dont feel like that of the G15. I personally felt that the G15 felt quite spongey.
The screen actually suprised me, its of very good quality and easily compairable to that on a smart phone.
The only downside to it being it has the kind of high gloss plastic around it that scratches very easily. As did the screen on the G15.
Comparison size wise its no bigger than the Sidewinder x6, but even though it has more macro keys than the x6 it doesnt feel as cluttered.
As other reviews have mentioned, the keyboard requires a mains adapter, this is both for the screen and also for the 2 fully 2.0 compatible usb ports on the back r/h side.
I like the fact that logitech have continued with the tradition of fitting drainage holes in their keyboard, if your the clumsy type spilling some liquid on your G19 "may not" result in it becoming an expensive ornament.
One thing i do not like about the keyboard is the gaming switch, this is the switch that locks off the windows keys from being accidently pressed in the heat of a battle.
I dont know logitech, i think it looks a bit tacky compared to the switch that was on the g15.
Overall impressions im loving the keyboard so far, havent really had much time to play with it at present as im installing windows 7 and then off to watch the apprentice at 9pm
Anyways, there you have it. My quick summary of the G19.
Cheers
