Hi guys,

To my dismay I discovered the G25 is no longer on sale anywhere at a reasonable price and the cheapest I can find it is approximately £180, which I just can't justify spending.

I'm after a racing wheel + pedals (maybe gear stick) for up to £100. It should have good force feedback, a good solid build feeling to it, and a good clamping mechanism.

Much appreciated if someone can help :)

The released the Driving force GT or something for exactly £99. Personally I don't like the aesthetics but you might.

Goto the logitech website for more info. :)

Consider this wheel too.

I just bought one today for £30 brand new. It has a pretty solid screw down clamping system to my desk. Force feedback is good AND configurable. You can also alter the wheel sensitivity. There are loads of buttons all over the wheel which can be configured, and 2 gear shift paddles behind the wheel. Wheel feels nice and solid in the hands with rubber covering at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock. Only 180 degree rotation, but doesn't seem to be a problem I don't think. Pedals are almost vertical, have decent resistance and feel realistic, although the base is lightweight and pushing the slightly stiff brake pedal can make the base tip up, but if you played with both feet on the pedals, it's fine. I only play racing games now and then.

Unless you want to get into hardcore racing, this wheel is worthwhile imo.

If you would be happy with a sequential gearstick instead of a full manual, I'd highly recommend Logitech's MOMO racing wheel. I've had one for just over a year and I love it. It has a very solid feel to it, excellent force feedback, precise steering and only costs 60 quid.
