Logitech g25 noisy?

Hey guys I'm thinking of buying a wheel this week and i was pretty much sure it was going to be the g25. However, after watching some videos i'm shocked by the amount of noise it generates when you turn the wheel. it sounds like something is broken inside or like a cheap toy.

i can imagine myself being very annoyed by this. so are there any better wheels out there with similar build quality but lower noise output in a sensible price?

I remember watching those youtube videos before i bought mine. The noise is really exagerated, mine doesnt sound anything like them. Granted there is a little bit of noise, but you soon get used to it. I dont even notice it anymore.
Its a small price to pay for such a good wheel!

I always imagined they were a lot less noisy than my wheel, a Logitech Driving Force Pro. One of the reasons why I'd be quite tempted to upgrade if I had more time on my hands.

Yeah, same here. Don't even notice it anymore.

You will want a very sturdy desk though. I have had to fix my monitor in place on my desk because I was getting worried that it would fall over playing Dirt 2 with the FFB on 100% lol.

Awesome wheel though. You will not find better unless you want to spend £1k+.

was looking at the fanatec wheels. any opinions on those?

I have a g25 and find it does the job well, the Fanatec wheel is slightly better but by the time you have bought the pedals and gearbox it is very exspensive.

The G27 has helical gears inside so it's quieter than the G25. Only problem is it doesn't have sequential so that sucks. When playing a game with speakers on, you don't notice the noise anyway.

g25 got delivered today and wow wow wow! i love it and i dont know where all that noise in the videos was coming from. with the volume cranked up a bit i cant hear it at all. the force feedback is amazing. i've never used a wheel before and honestly i did not know what to expect and it really caught me off guard of how good it feels.

actually there shows are pretty good to watch and the site is amazing anyway back on topic,i have had my wheel about two days and love it to bits not noisey at all,well worth it if you can get one i say do it it now.
