I used to spend a lot of time playing LFS and other racing games and am now getting back into pc racing games. Is the G27 worth the cost? Tempted by a wheel and only want to buy once given the price of them :)

Any opinions would be much appreciated :)

Thanks

I have one and it is very very good. You'll want to be playing maybe two or three times a week to really feel like you're getting your money's worth though, so a stand needs to be budgeted for as well so you can get the most from it.

If you're already into sims it's probably the best wheel in it's price range, not that there's a lot else around there. You can spend more, but it's a tough call. I would say the G27 is the cheapest new "pro level" wheel.

Logitech Store -Mike-? ;)

Message in trust.

Regarding how they compare - the g25 was apparently better for a few reasons but I decided not to buy second hand g25 as you never know how many hours have been racked up on them!

How does it compare to the G25 one?

Not that much different really, much better force feedback but I think it does lose Vibration effects that the g25 had? So it tries to emulate that which it does rather well but makes a horrid noise when it does :p

Sturdier shifter and the led rev counter, so yeah, not much different :p

Have one ordered for 149.99 just hope I haven't wasted a lot of money!

Wow nice deal! Usually they go for £200 or more.

It's well worth it if you're into your racing games (sim or not) - I got mine about a year ago or so and have used it pretty much every day since. A good piece of kit to have.
