Any advice chaps ?

Turned the PC on a few days ago and it's not seeing the G5 mouse at all.

The G5 doesn't light up etc, I've seen replacement cables, worth a try or time for an upgrade ?

I switched from G5 to a Corsair M65 when mine died.

The corsair is not good for fingertip grip.

Yes, it's time for an upgrade :)

Had exact same problem with my Roccat last week. After some useless tech support from Roccat I decided to open up the mouse and take a look. It turned out that 1 of the 5 wires in the cable wasn't making good contact with the solder point on the PCB, probably due to oxidation. 5 mins with the neighbours soldering iron and mouse was like new again. Glad I decided to take it to bits and saved myself £65!

That just got me thinking It's possibly the same reason why baking a gpu in the oven brings it back to life, darn oxygen gets into the solder.

haven't cracked it open have a look, but I know its not directly soldered to the board it's a plug, but a good suggestion.

The cable looks in good condition, which makes me thing it's something a little bit more serious.

May order a new lead and hope for the best.

Get the G400s if you want the same shape and features with a better sensor.

Or get the G500s if you want something very similar and want to keep the weight management.
