Ive got a logitech G5 rev2 mouse on another rig. When moving the cursor around, (desktop or windows) it will freeze and the dpi lights go out. It does this with setpoint installed, or the generic windows 7 drivers. The mouse is updated to the latest firmware and it exhibits the problem on both my systems. Ive tried my G500 on both rigs and no issues. The problem first appeared when i was using the mouse on an old a64 939 rig, its now used on an x58 i7 930 setup. Anyone experienced this and is my mouse probably borked.

I've never experienced that problem myself, but as someone with 2 G5's both running on generic W7 drivers, I'd say from the details you've given that yes, it is borked.

The bright side is that you know what Logitech are like, you'll probably be able to get it replaced with a G500 under an expired warranty, which in my opinion is an improvement anyway :)

Yeah, theyre support is outstanding. My current G500 was an rma replacement for a G5 rev1 that developed a button problem.
