I got my G5 yesterday and I'm loving it so far.
I've got it in Setpoint implementation, notch 4 on the speed and Low acceleration which is how I like it.
I don't use the game settings, game detection and game settings have been turned off.
The only thing I'm wondering about is the report rate. It's defaulted on 500 (max 1000). It says it'll make my mouse feel smoother, but use more computer resources.
It claims it may effect game performance if I put it on 1000 reports per second, is this true these days or does that only apply to older computers? I'm guessing a higher report rate will help with accuracy as it says it helps the mouse pointer to match the path the mouse takes on my desk, but I want to make sure it's not one of these things that will cause noticeable performance loss.
Thanks,
Craig.
