Hi there, lately my scroll wheel has started annoying me on my G5, basically as far as I can tell the wheel is loose, if I just so much as touch it, it sends the webpage etc. I am working on bouncing up and down as though I were scrolling very quick, now it only happens when I'm touching the scroll wheel.

Add to that when I try and use the middle mouse button again it sends the page etc. moving up and down, now I use the default drivers in Windows, would the Logitech drivers sort this issue you reckon? I'm wondering if it would be possible to set the sensitivity of the wheel. And if not, is this coverable by warranty you think? It's hard to say whether it's wear or tear, poor design or from me being relatively rough with the scroll while playing games.

Cheers.

Try the Logitech drivers first. I use them with my MX518 as the windows ones don't set the scrolling or sensitivity correctly. Have you got another machine to test it on in case it's a software glitch and not the actual mouse?

just send an email to Logitech Customer Support - they'll probably ask you to destroy the mouse and they'll send you a new one :)

Well how awesome are Logitech, sent them a screenshot of my order, a picture of the mouse with my RMA number written on some paper next to it and they're sending me out a new one :D

I swear logitech customer service is the best in the world. I have 2 mx revolutions here, and a nano mouse because all 3 broken over time and they always just take the number and send you a brand new one.
