Logitech G500 DPI settings etc

Hi

Just received my G500 from OCUK this morning and so far loving it. In games it feels so much smoother than my last intellimouse. I was just wondering what other people have there mice set up in windows and then in game? So far I've only adjusted the DPI setting and put that on 1000. There are so many options in the setpoint software I'm a little overwhelmed.

Hello using same mouse. For dpi thats down to you to find out. For the settings I use 1000 polling rate. disable windows drivers from setpoint. Mouse speed 5 and no acceleration. my dpi is 400, 1400, 2400.
then in control panel windows/mouse pointer options turn off enhance pointer precision. Then I installed MarkC_Windows7_MouseFix information can be found here http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html

I've done those settings and it seems great. What dpi do you use in windows and games, 1400? I tried the polling rate from 500 to 1000 but couldn't tell any difference if I'm honest, I hear it reduces input lag.

Yer I cant tell any difference with polling rate lol I was just following a guide so stuck with it. I use 1400 at all times, and if needed adjust in game settings.

Thanks for that tried it and it works great. Going to hijack thread here, can anyone recommend me a mouse mat for the G500?

I use the boogie bug http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-000-BB Very good mouse if you have the space. But in saying that its also easy to cut to size if needed. It fits my sidewinder x4 and plenty room for mouse movement

Are you the BF3 Shankly ? (squirrel co also), sorry if off topic. Have been searching for g500 advice. Tks
