Just got my G510 keyboard.
General specs and layout are spot on for me in general.
Only big dissapointment is the tiny fonts and very dim lighting on the keys.
What were the logitech designers thinking when they decided that this would be an acceptable max brightness. The red and green settings are bad enough,
when switched to blue its so dull even in dim light the keys look like a dull white. Obviously i have tried all the settings to get the best possible brightness.
I have a razer black widow ultimate and the lighting looks to be at least 4 times brighter and makes the G510 look anemic.
Any one know of any hardware or software fixes to get a higher level of brightness?
By the way i gave the black widow to my son as the wife kept moaning about the noisy clicking from the keyboard when gaming, It is noisy, then its a mechanical board.

Mechanical keyboards have individually lit keys, membrane ones tend to have a lit piece of plastic which distributes the light (Hence the poor brightness). There is no way to 'fix' it, it's just like that by design.

I'd hate to say it but moving from mechanical to membrane is a big downgrade, even though you are moving to a better manufacturer.

Thanks for the reply BuToNz.
I have a logitech K520 wireless keyboard as a spare.
i might strip the G510 down to see if its possible to do a lighting mod.
May be a few extra LED"s linked to a seperate braided cable out the back lined to a power supply.

I have that keyboard, I just learned to live with it. But the backlighting is indeed, pathetic, and I have seen a razer blackwidow ultimate, the backlighting is beautiful.

Just "upgraded" from the Logitech G19 to the Corsair K90. Only thing I'll miss is the LCD screen showing temps/teamspeak/performance whilst I'm ingame, but hey, that's what a second monitor is for ;) I certainly won't miss Logitechs shoddy build quality.
