Logitech G7 Question

Hi all i've ordered one of these to be my new gaming mouse after hearing that they are supposed to be good.

Its already ordered so nothing i can do about it but i was wondering if anyone knew why they had been discontinued?

was there a problem which lead logitech to stop making them or did they just move onto making another model?

Probably another model, given that the G5 has been replaced by the G9, there should be a G11 incoming? :confused:

If you really want the G7 it shouldn't be too hard to source one really. Personally i'm never touching a cordless mouse again after the debacle involving my MX1000 and the charger base station. :(
 
I love my G7 the way you use two battery packs is great no docking of the mouse and always a fully charged battery ready. The mouse is really comfy and glides well. I find it perfect.
 
No real problems that I know of, some people complain that laser mice are less accurate or more prone to jumping but having used an MX1000 and owning a G7 I haven't noticed anything of the sort. Simply the best mouse I've ever used and I've used quite a few apart from Razers, well worth the £50 odd that I paid for it. :)
 
I think they were just the older models new ones were developed and they needed some space on their shelves! :D Get a decent mouse mat though if you haven't got one it makes the difference.
