Hello
Ive had my logitech G7 gaming mouse for years now and have used it on Win XP SP3 32bit and Win 7 Ultimate 32Bit but when i upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate 64Bit ive had nothing but problems, Its very jerky and sometimes freezes, ive tried downloading the latest drivers for the mouse and all the other hardware in the computer but still the problem remains, i even installed a different copy of win7 64bit but still cant fix it. The fact that it works fine on 32bit opearting systems would suggest its a 64bit driver issue but according to the logitech site its fully compatible with win7 64bit, Its a really annoying problem and hope someone can help, thanks

I use a G5 with win7 64bit ultimate, standard microsoft drivers, no issues at all.

Hope my post helps you in some way?

Hi mate, how old is the mouse? you might as well ask for a replacement if its in warranty(3 years).

Ive had it for around 4 years so warranty will be way out, i forgot to mention that my brother has an identical rig to mine(with the exception of graphics card) but he purchased his mouse second hand and he has the same issues as me

hi stulid, i havent alerted any usb settings in the bios, the only thing i changed was i increased the cpu speed from 3.4-3.8, i tried reverting the settings in case they were the cause but still having issues

Try another usb port? The usb port could be faulty?

I had my x4 keyboard plugged into a usb 3 port and it didn't play nice. Plugged it into a standard usb 2 port and no issues at all.

thanks , i uninstalled the drivers and rebooted to let windows reinstall them, sadly the problem still persists, an interesting side note though is i installed win 7 ultimate 64bit (the same as on my main rig) onto an older system and tested the mouse, to my surprise it worked perfectly which rules out a 64bit driver issue, the main difference between the 2 pc's is that the older system which the mouse worked perfectly with isnt setup for raid where as my main system (which has the issues) is setup for raid 0, any chance this could be causing issues?

Similarly I have the G7 among my arsenal and its absolutely fine for me too!

Are all the Mobo drivers up to date etc? All Windows patches too?

Other than that, unless you are sharing a USB port with something else, perhaps swapping the USB port over?

thanks all for the responses, ive tried everything that youve suggested but still no joy, i took the extreme action or re-installing the original 32bit version of windows 7 ultimate to rule out bios settings/mouse/mouse mate etc and surprise surprise the mouse worked perfectly, im totally confused as to why it wont work correctly on win7 64, the only thing i can think of is maybe it has something to do with the system being setup for raid 0, perhaps 64bit raid drivers are to blame? what do you guys think?
