Logitech G7 - Wireless Performance vs Habu/G5

I currently have a wireless Logitech Cordless desktop MX3000 setup which seems to suffer from awful interference problems. Keys will "stick" on both keyboard and mouse. And to be quite frank I'm getting sick of being "owned" in CoD2 by my 14 and 12 year old sons!

How's the G7 in response times. I've generally noticed that wireless setups have a little worse response times than their wired counterparts. Is this true for this mouse? The alternatives are wired mice such as the G5 and Habu...

I've got a G7 and I don't notice any delay when in use, it seems to me to be just as fast as a wired mouse although I don't have a Copperhead to compare it directly with. Partly I'd assume that any problems are due to people not feeling quite as comfortable with the 'Logitech' shape, it suits some people but not others. :)

RadoX, ChoÞÞer is right you should remove the swearing before a moderator catches it. :)

I have both the copperhead and the g7, they are fantastic mice, the g7 is without doubt the best wireless mouse i have ever used.
No latency issues, batterys last a very long time, software is very good too.
The copperhead is much lighter than the g7 and imo, is better for both short and long term use but you do have to get used to it first.
You cant go wrong with either, both are good for every type of game out there
if i had all my mice taken away and had to get a new one, i would get a g7 becuase im lazy and like wireless mice.

I see zero latency using my G7, never had any problems with it personally,

Same here, use mine for gaming every day. Generally with wireless mice/keyboard any lag I've had is when the reciever is too far away or behind something with high metal content messing with the signal.

copperhead wins hands down

You have of course owned all three to make that statement.

I don't think there is a winner anymore, just what we all want to use.

Ultimately only you can decide which mouse is for you, comfort, ability to hold those oh so heavy mice with batteries in them (don't go straining your self here, those extra grams are simply terrible) both play big parts.

But short of living in a power station or something you won't lag.

If the G7 lagged, so many of us simply wouldn't use it day in day out for gaming.

:o

the irony, just finnished a session of css where i ****** the server, forgot how sick the precision, weight and responsivness of the copperhead is.
I guess the 1000 poll rate does make a diff over 500.

ch>g7, very close though.

I've used the G5 and the G7 and tbh I didnt notice any lag issues with the G7. The only reason I stuck with my G5 is I prefer the rubber grip as opposed to the shiny plastic, the G5 also has weights that allow you to alter the weight of the mouse whereas the G7 uses that slot for the battery and I had got used to the heaviness of my G5. Either will serve you well tbh. As will the copperhead or habu, they're all the same spec, just different designs. Make sure you invest in a mouse mat too, a steelpad s+s would do the job and is pretty cheap.
