It's been and gone - discontinued in the UK.

The carbon version was limited edition, and only sold through one online retailer I believe.

With the release of the 2007 G5, I have no doubt that an updated G7 will be along shortly.

I have one, the battery life is terrible and it's just coloured shiny plastic, not real carbon fibre.

Thats a shame :o. I have the old G7 and the batteries for that last around 6-8 hours (this is after 2 years use) And thats not a problem seen as you get 2 batteries supplied with it. Once ones ran out put it in the battery charger & pop the other fully charged one in the mouse.

as already said, thats the ltd edition cf edition.

I have one :D

Lad who has battery problems, do you have an s&s steel pad?

If so its summat to do with the surface of the mat, as if you leave it on there it wont turn off. if i put it on my desk top and leave it a while the mouse shuts down, saving battery life.

Battery isnt too much of an issue anyways, takes seconds to swap it over with the other one which should be charged

Razer eXactMat...while it does noticeably blip on from time to time, my screensaver is set to 10mins and is usually undisturbed.

Perhaps worth contacting Logitech tech support, they are supposed to be very helpful and may be able to offer some advice. The batteries should last between 6-8 hours each depending on use as they are 600mAh units, mine certainly last that long, at least for the moment and I've had the mouse for about 8 months now. :)

I did, since the G7 is end of like they gave me a choice of a G5 or MX Revolution. I'm using the MX Revolution now, and in raw terms it isn't as good as the G7...but the battery life is much longer.
