If anyone is using a Logitech G700 are your left and right mouse buttons aligned at exactly the same height?

My recently purchased G700 has a left button that is marginally higher than the right which worries me slightly as you hear allot about switch failure on some of the Logitech Gaming mice, double clicking when only single clicking and click and hold issues etc.

This is my third G700 and I’m starting to lose faith in Logitech Quality and Control as I can’t seem to get one without issues of some kind.

My previous mouse had an incredibly oversensitive right mouse button but I didn’t have it long enough to check the button alignment.

I did find this image which looks to show the exact issue I'm experiencing

The alignment of the divide between the left and right button in front of the scroll wheel seems to show the left button is slightly higher than the right.

Everything seems fine with the latest one (excluding the alignment) so It’s the best of a bad bunch but it’s just bugging me a little without another mouse to compare it with.

Thanks.

I've had my G700 since early last year, and the buttons are exactly the same height. It has not been a problem at all.

Poor battery life is common with this mouse, but that's about it. I put my own higher powered battery in to last longer.

Good to hear your buttons are both the same height but it makes me wonder if I received another badly made mouse. I agree that Logitech mice in the past have been bombproof.

Ill see how it effects performance over the next couple of months otherwise ill contact Logitech, im a bit OCD when it comes things lining up especially on a high grade gaming mouse.

The battery does seem to be the biggest complaint on the forums but I bet there would be more of a fuss if Logitech had implemented aggressive power saving or worse still a lower grade laser sensor. Im very happy with all other aspects of the mouse.

This shows the button height issue very clearly. I think it’s going to have to go back.

Looks like the G9x has been discontinued according to Logitech http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-series-Gaming-Mice/G9X-discontinued/td-p/979721 we may have new Logitech G series mice this year, I just hope the build quality is better than the current models on the market.

Logitech is still awesome though and if your mouse is ok out of the box the chances are it will last you many years especially with the three year warranty.
