Logitech G700, on its way out?

I've had my G700 for a few years now, however I'm starting to get this phenomenon where, for example, I go to hold down the buttons to run in WoW and it's like I've let the buttons go and have to repress them.

Anyone had anything similar and should I be looking at a new mouse?

Yes I have this intermittently, it annoyed me so much when designing on PS/AI where you'd drag and it would "unclick".

It comes and goes for me, Logitech suggest something like removing the battery and tapping the buttons for 30 seconds to discharge the caps, but it's never worked for me and I can't see how it will help.

I've recently replaced my battery and I've not had any issues since. Thing is it's not a cheap mouse and I like it so much I'm reluctant to replace it.

So, I went ahead and took the battery out last night. So far it seems to have fixed my issue, losing wireless capability isn't a massive loss as I've been using wireless less and less as the years go on.
