What do people think of this mouse? Good connectivity when wireless? Smooth motions? Of key importance is the configarability of the programmable keys. I want to have AS MUCH freedom as with the Microsoft inteipoint software; which allows me to set any key to open ANY program or folder or hard drive. The key thing i would hotkey are: Mozilla, other programs, "D/:", close, back/forward, "my documents", magnify (not just zoom into word documents).

Thanks for the help

I have this mouse, I think it's pretty good.

Wireless seems just the same as when it's wired to me.

All of the keys are customisable, just looking at the setpoint software, you can set them to launch a program, and folders by just typing in the location.

There are options for close, back, forward and many others too.

There is a macro option and keystroke assignments too if that helps.

So i can configure certain keys for shutdown / firefox / "d:/" / documents / certain files etc? Sorry to ask but i did download the set point software when i tried a logitec mouse a while back and there did not seem to be much cofigarability. Also what kind of mouse mat would one recommend with this mouse; it may seem like a silly question but i heard that the Microsoft sidewinder mouse works better on some surfaces and not good on others? Thanks

Yes, you can configure the keys to open any file/folder you want.

I think you could create a shortcut for shutting down your PC and then just set the button to open the shortcut, as there's no option in the setpoint software to shutdown.

I use this mouse mat with mine:

I've got no idea how it compares to other mouse mats, as I've not really used any other mouse mats.
