Logitech M500 or MX518?

Hi,

I am after a new mouse as I am starting to find my Logitech LX3's symetrical design is hurting my hand so I am after one that will fit my hand better, but also be a better mouse. So it got me looking at both the M500 and the MX518. Now the question is, which one is better to go for? Seems like a real challange finding anywhere with these out to use too.

Is it for gaming. If yes I'd say mx518 (which I'm currently using).

Yeah some gaming in there, though these days probably more usual desktop use.

I switched to the MX518 from MS 6000 laser ones - build quality is x10 better.

Its very big - took a bit of getting used to but is my choice of mouse now.

Although it lacks buttons on the right side (little finger) which the MS ones have

If it had a button there for me it would be perfect.

The price is right too.

Hi mate,
I've run an MX518 for Ages now & rate it the Best gaming mouse out there, For what it is the price is Ridiculously cheap it just don't make sense. Logitech support/after sales is second to none either.

Yep another vote for the mx518. I picked up a MX1100 recently but went back to the MX518 two days after, light and responisve, fantastic mouse.
