Logitech Mouse Software

Evening all,
Does anyone know if there's a way to make a logitech mouse function like a normal one when it comes to scrolling?

Since i got this classic MX1000 (awesome mouse) as a pressie a few months back, its been winding me right up!
One click of the scroll on google maps zooms right in/out and when scrolling a page its painfully slow with tons of scrolling.
If i adjust either the acceleration or number of lines to scroll, it makes it worse!

Any ideas?

What should be in the software?
As said, the "normal" settings for this sort of thing has been adjusted, to no effect.

Turning off smooth scrolling has helped a bit, but the problem is still there.

Setpoint is listed as a late 2012 download for the MX 1000....

Gonna try removing set point in a while.

Removed it, a lot better now, just like it was before!

Only problem is the extra buttons don't work. Tried sharpkeys, it doesn't pick them up.
