Logitech Mx Revolution distance use and connection

For people who own it, whats the furthest away you can use it? I'm looking to upgrade my current mx3200 desktop as the mouse doesn't work at the required distance - about 2-3 metres.

Also Is the MX Revolution wireless or bluetooth? There seems to be a keyboard/mouse package now (5500 I think it's called) that has the MX Revolution mouse with the fast scroll wheel but it's bluetooth whereas everywhere that sells the mouse on its own states its just wireless. Do the 2 use different connection methods? Or is the standalone mouse bluetooth too?

Thanks!

Hmm mixed reviews about distance then, anyone else got one? I do like them but I know the MS stuff definitely works from further away so I could just as easily get one of their mice.

Note that the Revolution in the KB+mouse bundle is different to the Revolution you buy on it's own. The information isn't conflicting, the one in the package does indeed use bluetooth and the standalone one uses regular wireless. Not sure which is better, but I'd assume it's wireless. Bluetooth was probably used either to cut down costs, or so the mouse could be used with the same dongle as the keyboard.

Thanks everyone, yeah I thought the bluetooth was just with the keyboard bundle, thats good never been a fan of bluetooth. So was checking to make sure before I jump in.

My concern with getting another logitech wireless mouse is I have the mx3200 mouse/keyboard set currently and the range is dreadful, even with line of sight I struggle to get over a 1m or 1.5m at most. So it's really put me off.
