I need some help choosing a new mouse, I do game not much MMO and im on the PC a lot so it needs to be comfortable,

I would like wireless so the cable does not get in the way like it use to but its not important,

I had the original Logitech MX wireless mouse which i found very good the battery lasted ages and did what i needed.

Ive had the razer mamba, It was a good mouse but the battery was rubbish which made the wireless pointless.

I was not sure about the dpi do i need a high dpi ?

Ive thought about the the following mice
Logitech Mx Proformance
Logitech G602, Which is not out yet and only works on battery but I've been told by logitech it will last 10 days non stop use or 11 weeks on standby.
Ive thought about the G700s but it looks a bit big and bulky

Also I have a 35% discount from logitech but only valid for 30day ive already waited 7 days, so can some one please help ?

Also I neeed some info on lag and dpi.

any other recommendations

The G700s has a very similar form factor to the performance mx so in the hand it won't feel more bulky than your logitech mx.

In my opinion its the best wireless mouse going, the G602 using batteries means you would have to faff with rechargeables if you're a serious gamer.

Im was also thinking about the G602 mainly because its new lol
I was going to order this but I wanted more info on this, its not out theres no reviews.

it has a optical sensor is that better then a laser one, also the dpi is 2500 is that ok and what about lag.

what are your reasons for choosing this ?

and thanks for the reply

G400 is very similar to MX518.
They don't make it any more though.
G400s costs an arm and a leg. Not sure why.

I ordered one of the Gigabyte mice on offer for £15. Will report back ;D

As a general rule optical is more accurate and have less problems than laser. This isn't 100% true though. e.g the Steelseries Sensei has amazing tracking for a laser mouse with only a small downside of having 5% positive acceleration which most people won't notice.

The G400 is one of the few "perfect" mice in that it has no sensor related downsides. No acceleration, no angle snapping, no jitter etc. If tracking quality is most important to you, get one of the G400 varieties. If wireless is more important to you, get the G601 but you will be sacrificing sensor quality.

DPI is personal preferance. It is a misconception that higher DPI is better though. It's easiest to think of DPI as just hardware sensitivity. Higher sensitivity does not equal higher accuracy. It's actually the opposite. General consensus is that anything above 2000 dpi becomes unwieldy and hard to control because the pointer moves so fast - you end up using only tiny wrist movements to control the mouse which provides more room for error. There's a reason most professional fps players use 400/800 dpi and their characters take 20cm+ swipes on the mousepad to do a 360 turn. For me, 1800 dpi is the sweet spot for games like RTS where you see the mouse itself and general movement in Windows. For FPS I like to use 1800 dpi too but set the sensitivity really low in the game itself (my sens in TF2 is 0.77 and 1800 dpi which equates to 30cm for a 360 turn).
