It doesnt say on the Logitech website If the wireless Is 2.4gig or 27mhz tech.

The wirless receiver Is a USB stick so Im guessing It could be 27mhz ?

Does anyone have this keyboard: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/140&cl=us,en

Is 27mhz vastly inferia to 2.4gig frquency ?

I want to use It surfing In bed sometimes (lol) about 4ft away so am I likely to have Issues at that distance?

thanks.

Its a 27mhz reciever on that model. Advantages of 27mhz slightly increased range, and works better with poor line of sight (My old 27mhz keyboard worked in the bedroom with the computer downstairs!). Disadvantages of 27mhz, there are a very limited number of 27mhz channels, and this can cause major headaches if you have 2 or more computers all with wireless keyboard and mouse combos. Encryption can help, but interference can cause lossed key presses and a "sticky" mouse. Bad for gaming. But if you dont have any other 27mhz gear nearby then they work well.

2.4Ghz on the other hand has a lot more options to avoid interference, but then again it needs it, 2.4ghz is crouded, with wifi, bluetooth and proprietory logitech 2.4ghz wireless mice, and many other devices using the band. But it does work remarkably well.

Still yours is a 27mhz device. 4ft to the bed will pose no trouble at all, except at the end of the battery life, where range will fall as the batteries fail.

Thanks for the help guys.

In the next bedroom there Is another wireless mouse/keyboard setup that
uses the 2.4gig spectrum. also In the room where I will use the MX3200
there Is a Wireless Linksys router. Do you think this Is gonna cause problems for me?

I got a works laptop, a logitech duet remote and mouse both on wireless alongside a squeezebox boom and the duet reciever also on wireless, and diNovo edge and mini over bluetooth and no compatibility or operating issues.
Tbh, most wireless devices get configured seemlessly by the os so you shouldnt have any issues at all.

You won't have any issues with range, but the MX3200 keyboard is not good for playing first person shooters on. The keyboard suffers from key blocking, which means you can't press 'w', 'a', and 'spacebar' at the sametime. Its a known design fault that can't be fixed. See this link for more info:

The other wireless keyboard/mouse sets that Logitech make don't seem to be affected by the same problem. I have the MX5500 that works perfectly.
