Not really surprised by it as Logi had obviously lost interest in the remotes, but still saddened as I have two of them which have been a game changer, especially with an AVR setup giving full WAF.

I just hope they keep supporting the devices for a few more years, or maybe allow local control so the hubs don't turn into bricks.

I remember when they were going to sell this branch of years ago and then thankfully decided to hold on to it and make one of the best remotes ever (Elite) after a good few dumb ones that had the LCD in the middle and most used buttons at top.

This is a shame. My harmony hub is amazing, but I can’t imagine many people would need this sort of setup these days.

It’s the same with the squeezebox really - excellent products of their time, but every amplifier and speaker seems to have streaming capability built in these days, so they became a bit redundant.

Love the hub and elite remote
Activities are a life saver for me, just asking alexa to turn on the TV, turns on TV, amplifier, virgin box and sets mood lighting. I hate having remotes lying around everywhere

Fingers crossed they keep supporting and keep the servers alive for a few years

It’s a niche technology with a declining market so totally understandable as a business decision. Still sad to see an imitative product line heading for the scrap heap.
It is but it was a niche they owned and was market leading in. And it's a smart/home automation device which is all the rage. Shame really.

My avr can be controlled by the TV now.

If I turn anything on avr automatically turns on. TV remote can adjust volume.

No need for this product anymore.

Even my phone can do all in one. I can control the avr, TV, etc all from it using the individual apps. So I no longer need all the individual remotes sitting on the table either.

Same with soundbar upstairs the TV can control it so no need for anything other than the sky remote.

What do you do with it? Real world examples
I control my Apple TV, Sky box, AV amp, TV, Hifi Amp and CD player. I also have power on sequences so that my hifi amp switches to the correct input to drive the left and right channels. Then of course there's the power off sequence too. The best thing about it is the fact that my mrs uses it.

Just because you don't understand the uses that people have for the Harmony system doesn't mean that they aren't useful to some.

Extremely niche usage requirements which 99.9% of people will never have.

I can play music, control TV and amp all off the one remote but that's because I use YouTube music subscription Vs CDs and Don't have a seperate hifi amp.
