Short story is my G5 is finally giving up on me after 4 years of use! :(
After logitech replaced my entire set of Z5500's for free when they packed up I emailed them about the mouse, the reply was its out of warranty so they can't replace it but I've been offered a 50% loyality discount from their store!

So does anybody have the Performance Mouse MX? How do you find it? It looks extremely comfortable from the pictures.

I had the previous version but the designs are very similar, and it has been the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, especially for longer periods of use.

Not sure if its any good for gaming though?

I would take a look at the G500 which is very similar to the G5. Mind it's very expensive on the Logitech website so it's handy you have a discount voucher!

Funny you mentioned the G500, its what I'm using now to replace the MX, it too is a great mouse, very comfortable, not as much as the MX, and the forward/backward buttons aren't as easy to use but on the whole its a great mouse too :)

got an MX revolution here right now, best mouse i've ever used, shape and size are awesome, it's very comfortable and a decent weight, add to that the dock charger for sheer convenience, it's a great mouse for the money i love mine haha :D

Thanks for the replies so far! I've had a look at the G500, whilst it does look like a good mouse ideally I want to go wireless now. I don't really do a huge amount of gaming on my PC anymore other than Minecraft so that shouldn't be too much of an issue, I have read elsewhere that it performs great in games too though. Price wise It's about £34.99 for the MX and £29.99 for the G500 so not a great difference.
Seraph is the dock charger a separate peripheral or does it come included?

the mouse is brilliant, it comes with a bag with all the connectors and stuff to charge it also. the battery life is excellent. mine can go weeks without seeing any fresh charge and i use my PC upwards of 8 hours a day gaming. the mouse is well shaped for a palm grip though holding it now in my hand it doesnt feel bad for a claw grip either. the thumb buttons are excellent and the hidden button is a real godsend for stuff like melee on CoD.

if you can get it half price. do so. i payed full price for mine and it was still a bargain! :D

Well I've ordered the Performance Mouse MX, total came to £44.99 because of there insane postage but it's still a decent amount knocked off. Just gotta wait for it to arrive now. I'm ready to drop kick the G5 through the wall its so annoying using a dodgy scrollwheel!!

I would assume its a great choice. I use an MX Revolution at work.
Best scroll wheel i have ever used. Wouldn't use it for gaming, but i sometimes miss it when i come home from work. Its depressing when i go to scroll down a full web page with one stroke on my Kone and it doesn't have the clutch in the scroll wheel.

mine came with the charging dock, your's might, i really dont know,

The Performance Mouse MX doesn't come with a charging dock afterall, instead it comes with a micro USB cable which allows you to charge and still use the mouse at the same time. :)

Well I got it today, it's taking abit of getting used to! :p Had to uninstall Setpoint too because of the mouse acceleration. Wasn't usable for me with it off or on so I'm back with the default windows drivers.
Compared with the G5

Superb piece of kit so far though, glides across my desk effortlessly.

I too am using the MX revolution, and like it's the best mouse I've ever owned by a long shot.
