Logitech Performance MX mouse owners?

Hi,

I was hoping anyone who owns a Logitech Performance MX mouse could check something for me.

Does your mouse make a whining/squealing noise? Is it silent even if you hold the mouse near your ear? I bought one a few days ago and while moving the mouse it makes a just about audible, but still very annoying, high pitch screeching noise. There seems to be a few people reporting it on the Logitech forums, but I'm not sure if it's a case of either:

A. Only some of them make the noise
B. Every Logitech Performance MX makes the noise, but only some people can hear it

I'd appreciate any help/opinions, I've got 3 days to return it either for a replacement or refund. If I return it for a replacement and that also gives the same noise, I don't think I can then return it for a refund.

I returned a Logitech G500s to the shop last week for this exact reason, so apparently it's something to do with the capacitors used right across the range. It's the luck of the draw as to whether the replacement will have the same issue.
 
Thanks for the replies, just wanted to update this.

I returned it for a replacement, although the replacement still makes a noise, at ~15cm it's inaudible (for me at least) so I'm happy with this one. Definitely seems to be an issue, but some are significantly louder than others, the first one you could hear across the entire room.
