Logitech preps MX5500 keyboard, mouse combo

" To start off autumn with a bang Logitech has unveiled its newest peripheral combo kit, the MX5500. The combo put together the high-end wireless MX Revolution mouse and a new LCD-boasting keyboard, also wireless. Both devices use Bluetooth 2.0 and will offer top-notch and comfortable use for hours on end.

The kit is set to hit the stores later this month at a price of $170. "

May be my next kit but I hate Bluetooth even Version 2.0

Owner of the logitech mouse, keyboard looks great will be interested to see what OcUK sets this price at for just the keyboard..

hopefully this is the reason for the delay in logitechs bluetooth drivers. Very nice looking keyboard though, just hope logitech improve their bluetooth support compared to the MX5000 and others.

Damn, i'm gonna have to get that keyboard, got the mx revolution and as far is wireless mice go it's pretty nifty.

Nasty layout.

Its so hard to find keyboards with a nice layout these days. The Kensington keyboard here at work is good, my laptop is good, and my Logitech X is good.

Everything else in the market seems to have a tiny enter key (positioned on the low side, the way I type means I can't reach it comfortably

Backslash is the wrong side of the keyboard, and I can't see the point in rearranging where the delete and insert keys are. Just why do it! It is fine as it normally is!!!

There aint lag as its BT 2.0 that they helped DEV, I prefer PS2 as I game and can change Sample rate to 200 (well not in Vista64).

hopefully it'll be a hell of a lot better than the mx5000, i'm using one at the moment, and it virtually never connects on start up, so will hopefully replace it with one of these if they've finally sorted the problems out...

I was just about to buy an MX Revolution but I couldn't find a suitable keyboard to go with it so I think I'll hold off now and wait for this combo, hope OcUK get some stock in early...

i was going to replace my 3 year old mx1000 at the end of the month with a mx revolution looks like am waiting to see what this is like

Had a G15 didnt like it am still using my logitech media keyboard

Yes. That layout is poor. Especially if you still use the arrow keys for FPSs from the days of the original Doom!

Wish they would do one of these LCD readout keyboards in the comfort/natural design. I hate straight keyboards.
